Speaker: Colonel Yolanda Dennis Lowman

Commander, Tooele Army Depot, Department of the Army - SJMTE-CO

Colonel Dennis-Lowman assumed command of Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, Utah in July 2009. She is a native of Waco, Texas and was commissioned as an Ordnance officer through Reserve Officer Training Corps. Colonel Dennis-Lowman entered active duty in 1983 after graduating from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, where she rceived a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.

Portions of her assignments include: Class V Accountable Officer and Executive Officer, 41st Ordnance Company, Kaiserslautern, Germany; S-4 Officer, 3rd Ordnance Battalion, Pirmasens, Germany; Missile and Munitions Parts Officer, 4th Corps Materiel Management Center, Fort Hood, Texas; Company Commander, E Company, 27th Main Support Battalion and 1st Cavalry Division.

Colonel Dennis-Lowman is a graduate of the Ordnance Officer Basic and Advance Courses; the Army Command and General Staff College; the Marine Corps Command and General Staff College; the Logistics Executive Development Course and the National War College. She holds a Masters of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College.

We ask for your support as a volunteer civil rights organization. All members of the NAACP are employed throughout the Salt Lake area and volunteer full time with the NAACP. There is no paid staff whatsoever. A large portion of these funds collected will help provide civil rights assistance to individuals, scholarships to students and Back to School/Stay In School Program.

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination.
